As with any trek, whether a hiking adventure or a quest for financial freedom to enjoy life and give back, there are some basic things you can do to make it more enjoyable and rewarding.
Prepare Mentally
If you were going on a hiking trek through the mountains you would prepare physically, getting your cardiovascular system prepared for the challenges. You would begin a running regimen, climb stairs and other exercises that would be in harmony with your journey.
Your Prosperity Trek will benefit from mental preparation. Some of the activities on your trek will be challenging. Each activity has a difficulty rating that reflects the time and energy that will be required.
You can prepare for your Prosperity Trek by staying focused on the destination – whether it is having money left over from each paycheck to set aside for savings, or finding an asset allocation for your investments that is suited to your tolerance for risk, or finding fulfillment in retirement. As with any trek, it helps when you stay focused on the destination.
Gear Up
Read up on topics that are related to the activities you are encountering on your trek. Not only does this make you better informed, it also inspires you. Prosperity Concierge has teamed up with Amazon to provide you with a bookstore with materials that can help. There are many periodicals and books that can help, many of which are free at your local library. There are many helpful online resources (we share a lot of online resources in the Resources topics on the right margin of this page!).
Enjoy!
Your Prosperity Trek is a journey. Why not enjoy it? Sure, some of the activities will be demanding. But stay focused on the destination as a reminder of why you are on the journey.
Some people keep a journey on the trek. It can help you celebrate your accomplishments and think through any setbacks and challenges.
Many people are changed because of a trek. They are not the same person they were when they started. Maybe it is the challenges. Maybe it is the experiences. We hope you are changed by your trek. That you see yourself, your finances, your dreams differently.
